Hemp products such as ours that contain less than 0.3% delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol or THC have been federally legal since the 2014 “Farm Bill.” Our products are produced in compliance with Section 7606 of the Agricultural Act of 2014 and the North Carolina State Hemp Pilot Program.

What is CBD or cannabidiol?

One of the amazing qualities of hemp is that it excretes many beneficial compounds from its flowers and leaves. Cannabinoids are the most well known compounds in the cannabis plant. THC, famous for its pleasant feeling in the brain, has many more applications for our health. Luckily THC has a chemical cousin called Cannabidiol or CBD with as many or more benefits without the high. Check out Project CBD for more info…

Will this get me high?

The only thing getting high on our products will be your quality of life. Our customers generally report a sense of balance and well being. Depending on the strain and the person the effects can be somewhat different so we always suggest going low and slow as you start to explore cannabis.

Is this “ditch weed?”

All of our products are legal industrial hemp and contain less than 0.3% THC, however hemp has come a long way in the last few years. “Ditch weed” refers to semi-wild cannabis plants that were often the offspring or escapees of pre-prohibition hemp cultivation. Having been bred for seed and fiber they had less than ideal cannabinoid profiles earning them the reputation for causing headaches and even nausea. Fortunately the classic headache ditch weed hemp is a thing of the past. These cannabis strains have been bread for elevated levels CBD and other cannabinoids as well for complex terpene profiles that give them a pleasant taste and effect without the high of classic cannabis or the headache of “ditch weed.”
